Interview with Tekla

 

Tekla is sharing her story about her internship at The Loop Factory autumn 2022.

 

Hi Tekla!

You are doing your intership this autumn at The Loop Factory, focusing on sustainability and materials.

It’s been great to have you here, let’s talk about your thoughts on your time with us.

Hey there, Tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Tekla Tingström. I’m 26 years old from Sweden. I am particularly interested in eco-friendly projects that encourage, raise awareness and find solutions to minimize the impact on the environment.


What are you studying?
I study environmental and sustainable science. I’ve spent the first half of my education at SLU in Alnarp where I studied agronomy courses and continued the second half at Halmstad University where I studied courses in environmental science.


What do you hope to learn at The Loop Factory?
I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the current opportunities and challenges in the industry sector and how innovation can navigate companies in recycling and renewable materials. I also seek personal growth to practice management and communication skills.


What attracted you to The Loop Factory?
It seemed like a creative environment with various opportunities. I was really impressed by the concepts, ideas and their broad interest in sustainable materials.


In what way do you want to be involved and contribute to a better world?
Having a positive influence on people! I believe that rewarding teamwork can motivate and strengthen collaboration and increase productivity. Cooperation and professional communication skills are the key to developing long term sustainable strategies. 


What is your secret talent?
Really good imagination and creative ability. Pro at zodiac signs!
