Say hello to Yangi

- the first official spin-off from The Loop Factory

We are proud to officially launch Yangi as the first spin-off from The Loop Factory. Yangi as a company was founded at the start of this year to accelerate and commercialize our unique dry forming technology.

The Loop Factory is a purpose-driven company with a mission to create system change for circular economy and scale innovation faster. Acting as a platform for innovation we aim to pioneer sustainable solutions that have the potential to create true transformation, and Yangi has that potential.

Open for investors

Whilst Yangi will operate fully separate from The Loop Factory, we are building on the IP and knowledge from numerous inhouse projects and research that has been conducted for more than 10 years. By giving Yangi a new beginning and transferring IP, key personnel and resources into a separate company we are opening up for external investors that will allow Yangi to develop and scale the technology at full potential. “This is really an exciting journey, where our aim is to reshape the world of packaging, where collaborations is the key to learn and implement new sustainable technologies” states Johann Kaiser, CEO of Yangi.

“We have by own means and with some contribution from soft funding developed Yangi from a promising project to a company with a strong technology platform and a clear business model. In addition, we have managed to form amazing teams in both Yangi and The Loop Factory with a common culture as a basis. Together we have created fantastic results and I am very proud of my employees, who contribute with joy and entrepreneurial spirit”, says Anna Altner, founder and Creative director.

Maria Ström new CEO of The Loop Factory

The Loop Factory will continue to act as an innovation hub and enabler for material-based innovations, with focus areas within textiles, recycled materials and packaging, with many exciting projects in our portfolio. Maria Ström, who has a long track record from both pulp and paper industry as well as building innovation platforms, will take over as CEO for The Loop Factory by April 1st as Anna Altner, founder of The Loop Factory is joining Yangi.

“I am thrilled and honoured to continue the development of The Loop Factory” says Maria Ström and continues “Together with a passionate and creative team we will keep growing and support even more partners and customers to realise sustainable and circular solutions.”
